Series: Believers Church Bible Commentary
By exploring the circumstances behind this decline, Brensinger provides practical applications for such contemporary issues as religious unfaithfulness, the nature of community, the roles and responsibilities of leaders, and war and violence.
The book presents essays expanding on themes useful for teaching, preaching, and Bible study; bibliographies; charts; a map for Judges; and an index of ancient sources. "Believers church" refers to churches in the Anabaptist heritage of faith. Judges is the 12th commentary to appear in the BCBC series, sponsored by six denominations: Brethren Church, Church of the Brethren, Brethren in Christ Church, General Conference Mennonite Church, Mennonite Brethren Church, and Mennonite Church.
Linda Latham5 Stars Out Of 5March 11, 2008Linda LathamI took a class in college and we used this book. It is a book that makes the Bible come alive and really paints a different portrait of God that most people don't ever get to see. It has sparked a greater interest in the Old Testament and blessed my walk with the Lord. A valuable buy in more ways than one!
