This book celebrates the distinguished life and ministry of Marion Josiah Hatchett, whose writings have instructed more than a generation of parish clergy. Professor Hatchett has taught at the School of Theology of the University of the South for thirty years. In classroom lectures, liturgies practica, music rehearsals, rota groups, advanced degree seminars, and tutorials, his students have encountered a man who is passionate about his subject, faithful to the tradition, in love with the church, and genuinely devoted to them--the future deacons, presbyters, and bishops of the Episcopal Church.
