After a successful auditing career, Dora Hiers left the corporate world to be a stay-at-home mom to her two sons. When her youngest son no longer wanted her hanging out at school with him anymore, Dora started writing Heart Racing, God-Gracing romances. She is a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA) and her local chapter, Carolina Romance Writers (CRW). Dora and her real life hero make their home in Kannapolis, North Carolina. When she takes a break from cranking out stories, she enjoys reading, family gatherings, and mountain cabin getaways. She despises traffic, bad coffee, technological meltdowns, and a sad ending to a book. Her books always end with a happily-ever-after!

KatyTennesseeGender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Fast-pacedFebruary 12, 2015KatyTennesseeGender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Journeys Embrace is a fast and exciting read with non-stop action and building romance. I love that the primary characters are life-long friends and have a wonderful history together. That in itself adds much depth to the story. Sage and Delaney are great characters. Both are easy to love. It is a very rocky ride to happily ever after, but the end is rewarding.
I especially like the spiritual themes and how they are woven into the storyline. It is always gratifying to see spiritual growth in favorite characters, so its heart-warming to see that happening in this story.
If you like fast-pace suspense with a heavy dose of romance, Journeys Embrace would be a good choice.

loriwellerLancaster,PaAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great Book!!!!!April 5, 2014loriwellerLancaster,PaAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Journey's Embrace is a great read. Dora Hiers is a new author for me but she has been added to my ever growing list of authors to follow. The book is suspenseful but also has romance in it. It shows that leaning on God will get you through anything. It revolves around a brother who asks a friend to watch out for his sister, while he is out of town. The sister is in danger. The friend and sister are also friends. I recommend the book for young adult or older.

PatsdreamHuntsville, ALAge: Over 65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Romance, Suspense, Friendship to Love?February 18, 2014PatsdreamHuntsville, ALAge: Over 65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4Journey's Embrace by Dora Hiers is a book that I would highly recommend to an adult or a young adult. This is a sweet romance with faith, friendships, enough suspense to keep your turning pages. This is an easy read and I think YA to Older Adults (like me) would enjoy this book.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Sage is off duty recuperating from an injury. His best friend asks him to keep an eye on his sister Delaney, as some weird things have been happening. Since it was Steven's wedding & Dane knew he wouldn't leave for his honeymoon if he didn't promise. Little did he know he would have to help her out of trouble at the reception. Delaney is Steven's little sister, the pest they grew up with in an orphanage. She was always tagging along. He couldn't help but noticed she wasn't a little girl anymore. Instead of Sage rescuing Delaney, she is always patching him up. After all what is a flight medic suppose to do when the hero is always opening his recent surgical site, trying to protect her. Their faith shows through the story, the suspense isn't intense, scary type but enough to carry the plot through with a lot of interest. I'm a huge suspense, mystery fan & would love to have seen more intense suspense but I have to agree that this book works just fine without it and would interest more readers.
I received this book through www.bookclub.org and the author to read, leave reviews with my honest opinion. I think you will find this to be an enjoyable read and one that you will want to finish and then wishing it had been longer.

I look forward to reading more of her books. I love books that include romance and suspense. This one did not disappoint me. An exciting story with a great and dramatic ending. A story of strong friendships, love, romance, danger, suspense and that trusting in God can overcome all fears. I also like that scripture has been included.
