This study gave me tools to fight the devil the enemy of my soul. As of this writing I'm four years old in the Lord. This was a timely growth journey/study for me. Transcribed by a true Bondservant Helping others, the young & the young-at-heart, to strive to be their best. It is a helpful and fun study with clarity. It leaves the traveler, student/reader- with the desire to become a Bondservant to our Almighty God. --Helen Siefert, friend
This journey or study of James has guided me into a new life of not being explosive when situations are not to my favor. I credit it to the opportunity of spending time studying the Word of God in a small group setting. Learning new nuggets or keys to help me every day. I am over joyed at having this support that I might become a mature and loving Christian early in my life --Justin Powlison, grandson
The "Journey with James" has been a life changing experience, or it was for me I learned about God's forgiveness, plus how to forgive others with His help I would recommend others read and work it for themselves for a number of reasons. The main one being on how to be an outstanding Christian, or like James says, "Bondservant" for Jesus. --Kendra Powlison, granddaughter

Tell us a little about yourself. I grew up in a family of 4 sisters and 1 brother in a small town named Molalla, Oregon; which lies in the Northern end of the Willamette Valley and half way between Portland and Salem. I was only weeks old when my first venture into the big world outside the home was to a small country Mennonite church. Growing up in the fellowship was a great experience for me. I had many wonderful Bible teachers. I was eleven years old when I gave my heart to Jesus and began a walk of faith. As I grew in stature and favor with folks around me, I also grew in my spirit life. At the age of twenty my walk in God was plainly different than the Mennonite community. Therefore with much prayer and supplication I took a giant step in my faith walk and began attending with my friend to a Free Methodist church in a small town east of where my parents lived. By this time I was living in my own apartment and learning to pay my way in life. Mistakes are the biggest teachers! I made plenty in the next 5 years, but not ever did I leave my walk with God and his son Jesus Christ behind! I began writing poetry when in elementary level and then due to literature assignments in high school I was motivated to write short stories, both fiction and non-fiction. I enjoyed doing research in science stories as well. I am now 71 years experienced, my husband and I just purchased 5.75 acres with a ranch style home in Culver, Oregon believing God has lead us to this promised land. I could never in a hundred pages get all my faith walk experiences written, henceforth, God willing, He will help me put it into a novel to help readers know although you dont feel like a somebody He knows you are and will use you when your will meshes with His.
What was your motivation behind this project? My inspiration for this project was none other than the Holy Spirit. He knew I needed this project for my own growth. As stated in the book, my living quarters had much left for improvement but in spite of poor housing God saw my heart and used me. Each issue James confronted had become an issue in my life, so in the process of writing I had a lot of repentance to perform! What freedom I possessed! I could not keep quiet too many folks, teens on up, need to understand what the word Christian in truth involves. Going through the book of James taught me exactly what I needed. I wanted to share this joyful knowledge with new converts and old growth Christians alike! all glory goes to God of the universe!
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My prayer of hope for all readers of this book will be the knowledge of the word bond-servant. Also, it is a book to record your own thoughts, wishes and the things you want God to forgive you of. Therefore, it is hopefully, a motivation for readers to get digging for nuggets not only in this journey with James, but also other wonderful scriptures.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? As I stated in one of the other questions, it worked a deeper walk and understanding of a true servant or bond servant of Jesus Christ is about. The old cliché Id rather SEE a sermon than HEAR one any day hit my life like a thunder bolt and I will forever be more aware of my actions and my walk before God. It makes the verse in Psalm 19:14 my motto, Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My greatest influence was my father, Julius Schultz, who knew how to be that bond servant of Jesus Christ! My source of inspiration, is Holy Spirit and His individual council He gives; even at times when I dont ask Him for it. This inspiration usually hits anytime from midnight to four oclock A.M.! Reason must be to by-pass my brain processing and allow him to use my fingers to do the typing as He gives me the inspirations. My favorite authors/artists as of today are those who challenge my knowledge of the Word, like Pat Robertson, Dr. David Jeremiah, and Ty Gibson, to name a few. Also those like Jane Kirkpatrick, with humor, a twist of mystery, combined with facts; all in one into novels to relax and enjoy with. Thank you dear writers!
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Throughout this writing I cant stress enough that God wants obedience, not perfection especially when He asks us to do something out of our natural abilities. Life is about HIM not me/us! I ask myself daily What mark for Him will I leave this world? Can folks tell I love Him by my actions, love for them, and attitudes even when life hands me dirtwhat can I do with that? Spirit life tells me Plant seeds of forgiveness, and kindness and water it daily with the free water Jesus gives, water of Love Agape kind. Then watch them grow. How? Bless them, yes, even them that cruse youbless them daily or whenever they come into your mind! Do it out of Obedience to God and His word. Guaranteed you will be blessed also! Stay always in the Capsule of His almighty and faithful Word!
