“Journaling with Jesus is a creative call to an authentic, intimate relationship with Christ through the art of prayer-journaling. Author Carol Round openly shares her own intimate journaling journey, initially borne of pain, and now bathed in promise—the hope of healing in Jesus. Let her sensitively guide you along your own prayer path through balanced scriptural support, stories from the lives of women transformed through the power of journaling, encouraging explanations about the benefits of journaling, and timely tips about how to start. Allow Journaling with Jesus to take you deep into the heart of God, by showing you practically and inspirationally how to bare the depths of your own heart on the blank page. As you fill your journal with words of honesty, God will fill your heart with the wonder of His love.” —LYNN D. MORRISSEY, author of Love Letters to God: Deeper IntimacyThrough Written Prayer “The initiative of God to restore relationship with every person requires our engagement. The age-old battle to create space to spend time with Him can be supported by the spiritual discipline of keeping a journal. Carol Round understands this. I encourage your pursuit of this commitment as you read Journaling with Jesus.” —STEVE LASWELL, author of The Journey–A Personal Journal and The Journey–Personal Notes from the Father

The author is very real, honestly sharing her own life experience. She also gives additional resources from other people to help you as you embark on your own journaling adventure. How to Draw Closer to God
Written by Carol Round
When I opened the package this little book came in I was immediately blessed! Because this book is very short and to the point. Do not misunderstand me , I enjoy reading and to me, it is a gift from God. I think all of us should read whenever we can_.Sometimes books such as these can unfortunately be very very long and lose the meaning and teaching of what the writer is sharing_ This is not one of those_.
Because there is no need to do so_
It is broken down into explanations below is an example:
What is Prayer?
Recording our Inner Journey
Journaling is a Spiritual Practice
What the differences there are to writing in a diary, journaling, prayer journaling and more...
Carol shares these wonderful explanations with such easily to understand, that anyone could use this book to help them with their prayer life and walk with God.
Carol shares how she and others have written in their prayer journals and how closer they have become to God because of it. And how they see situations in a different light.
Carol also uses initials, such as SOAP which means:
Read the SCRIPTURES
Write an OVERVIEW
How you will APPLY it to your life
Write a PRAYER that focuses on you accomplishing what God has shown you.
She gives you easy and practical ways to begin to get you started on your own journal_Many Scriptures are shared and ways to use them while you are writing them in your journal.
Blessed to know that this little but very deep and wonderful book points straight to God and His Words as our basis to start with daily prayer journaling and to learn to understand them, which helps us understand God and His ways.
On page 60-61 there is a "My Covenant with God" prayer all based on His Holy Scriptures and a place to sign and date it_I do not know about you, but I believe that God takes a covenant very seriously. I have learned this going through many trials and promising Him I will trust in His covenant with me.
All those who call themselves "Christians" should remember all the Covenants God Himself has promised us as we promise Hi, to take it very seriously.
In the back of this book there are several web site links and other books that Carol shares with you to help you on your way to this new discipline we need to all be a part of_ think about how things would change if we all did this!!!
I am praying I will, and then to follow my beloved husband, sister in law, brother in law and friends will join me!!!
