Oriunda de Veracruz, México, María de Lourdes Victoria es una autora bilingüe cuyas obras han sido galardonadas a nivel internacional. Su tercera novela, La Casa de los Secretos, fue publicada por Planeta en el 2016 y fué finalista en el International Latino Book Awards (2017) como la mejor novela histórica en español. Su primera novela, Los Hijos Del Mar (Children of the Sea), fue finalista del Premio Mariposa (Mejor Primera Novela en Español) en la Feria Internacional de Libros Latinos (2006) en Washington, DC. Su segunda novela, Más Allá de la Justicia (Beyond Justice) ocupó el tercer lugar en Barcelona, España, en el prestigioso Premio Planeta de Novela (2010), obteniendo, además, mención de honor como la Mejor Novela en Español y la Mejor Novela Popular en New York en el Latino Book Awards (2012). Los cuentos infantiles bilingües de María, han recibido numerosos premios. Sus cuentos breves han aparecido en importantes revistas literarias y jurídicas. Originally from Veracruz, Mexico, Maria de Lourdes Victoria is an award-winning author whose work has been published internationally in English and Spanish. Maria’s third novel, La Casa de los Secretos, published by Planeta de Libros in July, 2016, took second place as the Best Novel in Spanish Award at the International Latino Book Awards. Her second novel, Más allá de la Justicia (Entre Líneas, Libros y Palabras, 2010) took third place in Barcelona, Spain, at the prestigious Premio Planeta de Novela Book Awards. Her first novel, Los Hijos Del Mar (Ediciones B, 2006), was a finalist for the Mariposa Award for Best First Novel in Spanish at the 2006 International Latino Book Awards in Washington, D.C. Her short stories have appeared in prominent literary journals, such as Nimrod and Quercus Review. Her social justice articles and stories have been featured in numerous legal journals.
