Sight & Sound produces high-quality, heartwarming, evangelistic shows. While Joseph was filmed several years ago, I wasn't bothered by the simpler sets (compared to Moses or Esther). Everything was done well. (Joseph actually flying across the auditorium--that was a cool surprise!)

Joseph, son of Jacob, has always been a hero to me, and I was touched watching this portrayal of how a privileged teen overcame unthinkable odds to become a godly witness and save the world with his God-given wisdom.

Creative license? Yes, but they don't purposely betray what we know in the Bible (depending on which version you use). They seek to enhance the story with historical insights, cultural research, and imaginative characters.

The whole cast--minus the boy playing Benjamin--could act well, and sing. While none of the songs resonated with me as ones I'd love to hear over and over, they fit the mood and setting of Joseph's story.

If you struggle with seeing Bible characters as real people, Sight & Sound shows will grow your understanding. I feel "Joseph" displays the dysfunction of family, the yearning for home, how to stand against temptation, that forgiveness isn't easy, and that God is faithful. I'd recommend this to all ages. I LOVE this dvd!! We went over to watch it with a friend and just loved it!! I love the story and I love how much of the Bible it protrays. It has a great mix between happy times, sad times, angry times, and hard times. It has a nice balance of humor too!!

I would totally recommend this to anyone else!!
