sean aiken5 Stars Out Of 5May 4, 2008sean aikenOne of the best commentaries out there today, it's easy to understand, with maps, pictures of old statues, coins etc. It's helps you to understand each verse and what it means in the context of the scripture so you can get a clear understanding of the scripture. Thumbs up !!!
John Toner4 Stars Out Of 5March 19, 2008John TonerI LOVE this entire SERIES of commentaries. I'd rank them as an excellent tool for "intermediate" Bible study - above "beginner" phase but not quite "expert" level. (And, I rank myself the same - intermediate bible student).I am a "dual career" pastor - holding down a "secular" job while being responsible to teach on Sundays about 1/3 of the time. These books are an excellent tool, both to encourage my personal understanding of scripture, and also to give me "ammo" to help create/fill out sermons too.
