Tell us a little about yourself. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education. My degree allowed me to teach Pre-K for seven years. I have also worked for a large church where I was responsible for writing the Bible curriculum for children ages 2-11 years old. During that time, I also wrote Vacation Bible School lessons, and Bible study lessons for adults. Joel's Journeys, Discovering God's Amazing Grace, & Critters of Creation Tell of God's Love or my other two books published. I am currently seeking studies in the Hebrew Bible and am writing more books.
What was your motivation behind this project? This book was first introduced to a pastor at my church to write a story for a Kid's Summer camp for ages 8-11 year old boys and girls. The theme for the Camp was about Mountain Climbing.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Hopefully, children will find this book engaging to help them become closer to Jesus and learn to rely on Him during trials in their life. They will also experience Joel's challenges as he tries and climbs Mt. Kilimanjaro.
