Publisher's Description

When Brother Nathan was a child in Egypt, he witnessed an unthinkable attack on his father at the hands of terrorists. At first, he struggled with his powerful urge to avenge his father. Today, he ministers in the very village where his father was targeted, as well as in countless other cities and villages across Egypt and throughout the Middle East.

Love Casts Out Fear tells the gripping story of a deadly attack, Nathan's initial anger, and forgiveness that makes way for redemption. It also gives a firsthand account of the challenges faced today by Middle Eastern Christians, and of God's provision for a ministry that touches the lives of thousands. Readers will passionately come alongside Brother Nathan in this true-life thriller as he shares the love of Christ in a dangerous place to claim Christ as Lord.

I found this book very interesting. It is a true story about a Christian's struggles living in Egypt. It covers Brother Nathan's entire life from birth to current day. Life in Egypt is hard, but even harder for Christians who are in the minority. Brother Nathan's life is transformed by choosing to follow Jesus as a child after his father was murdered.

This book tells us much about the dating and marriage customs of Egypt.I loved to see the closeness of Brother Nathan to his father, and was bit disappointed that even Christian parents really preferred to have boys.God is really the center of the book and we can trust Him with our lives.

I loved reading Nathans story. I could hardly put this book down. Nathans dedication to Jesus is inspiring and encourages others to rely on God also. Rather than living his whole life in hatred of those who murdered his father, which is the natural expected response, Nathan chooses to forgive. He chooses Jesus and his life is never the same. His life shows that following Jesus makes a difference. Though it is not easy, Nathan perseveres and leaves an example for others. This book was a blessing to me and I would highly recommend it. I received this book from Baker Books in exchange for my review.

I recently finished reading Love Casts Out Fear by Brother Nathan. Wow! What an inspiring read! Brother Nathan has experienced much pain in his life, and yet he has not allowed it to make him bitter. His life is a shining example of the power of God's forgiveness. This autobiography is extremely fast-paced, and I read it within a few hours! I simply couldn't put down such an inspiring read! I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to find inspiration in this difficult time of conflict and violence in the Middle East. I received this book from the publisher in exchange for my fair and honest review.

"Love Casts Out Fear" is a memoir about Brother Nathan's life as a Christian in Egypt. Nathan's father--a pastor in rural upper Egypt--was killed by terrorists when Nathan was 6 years old. He planned gun-wielding revenge on those killers for years until he realized that Jesus wanted him to forgive them. He then went on to do Christian ministry in Cairo, Egypt during some very interesting times. This memoir covered his life up until 2013 and included descriptions of his parent's lives as well.

Nathan's past has allowed him to reach out to those stuck in the revenge cycle to show the way to true peace. Nathan's story shows how God has been at work in his life and in Egypt. It also shows what life is like for Christians in rural Egypt and in Cairo. It's written in a casual style that's easy to read. Overall, I'd recommend this interesting book.

I received an ebook review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.
