The content is great, but there's no dates and there are not 365 devotions. I much prefer the oroginal orange Jesus Calling for Kids.

Spend Time with Jesus, the Friend Who Is Always with You

Jesus is the Friend who is always with you. Jesus Today: Devotions for Kids will pour this powerful truth into your childrens hearts as they learn that He knows everything about them and loves them more than they can imagine.

Each devotion is based on Scripture and is written as though Jesus is speaking, assuring that He is in control, that He is good, and that an amazing future awaits all who put their hope in Him.

Adapted from ECPA Gold Medallionwinner Jesus Today, this devotional has the same themes as the adult version, as well as written-out scriptures. It is a great choice for families to read and discuss during devotional time together.

Spend time with Jesus today . . .

I read this book on my phone. It was very easy to read (for me).

But I don't think reading it on my phone was the best experience.

The 368-page book contains 150 devotions. Each devotion

is short and easy to read and is followed by scripture.

The suggested audience is 6-10. I had a little difficulty with that. The devotions really didn't keep my 8 year old grandsons attention.

He reads chapter books and enjoys them. In his case it wasn't the reading difficulty. Reading it on my phone possibly may have affected his enthusiasm.

I really enjoyed the devotions. I have not read any of the authors other books so I can't compare.

I think that this book would be great for a family devotional time.

    An excerpt is available here.

This devotional is an excellent resource for the family and deserves 5 stars.

I received a complimentary e-copy of this book from Book Look in exchange for my

    honest review.

Have you ever wondered what Jesus would say to you if He were sitting right beside you? Would He say He loves you? Would He offer advice on day to day situations?

Jesus Today: Devotions for Kids by Sarah Young, is a devotional for children. Each devotion is based on Scripture and is written as though Jesus is speaking directly to you. The devotional reminds us that He is in control and that amazing things await everyone who puts their faith and hope in Him.

The book is aimed at children ages 6 through 10. I feel that 6 may be a little young. I read through several of the devotions with my daughter, but they just didnt hold her attention. She found them hard to follow and I found myself changing the word Me to Jesus.

I really like how each devotion ends with multiple scripture verses. It helps your child explore the entire Bible, Old and New Testaments in bite size pieces that are easier for them to comprehend. By choosing related scriptures from various parts of the Bible, it shows your little one how Gods promises are consistent from beginning of the Bible until the end.

The back of the book contains a Scripture Index. If you are looking for a specific scripture you can check here to see if its in the devotional. I personally would have loved to see an additional Index by Topic. I think this would make it easier for younger children to find devotionals, when they need them most.

The book is very consistent in its layout. Each devotional follows the same pattern, Number, Title, Devotion and Scripture. The font is easy to read and each devotion only takes a few minutes to read. There is also a ribbon bookmark to help keep track of where you are.

Jesus Today: Devotions for Kids is a book that you could read several times over and find something new each time. Its a great way to end the day with your child, talking about the promises that are laid out in the Bible for each and every one of us.

Oh how I love that I am able to help my kids get into the Word of God!

The seeds are getting firmly planted as they each learn to seek God by reading (or being read to) from the Word. So when I was offered the chance to review this sweet devotional for kids 6-10 years old, I just KNEW that Joseph was the perfect candidate for this job!

This little boy loves his Jesus with a big heart, but there is always room for improvement. So having a devotional that is catered to his age group, even better.

We enjoyed reading through this devotions book together (as Joe is still a fledgling reader). The devotions are short enough to keep his attention, about one page worth. Then there are Bible verses that back up what was just talked about. I just adored using this with him!

So, if you are looking for an easy, yet excellent devotional book for young children, this just might be the one.
