ChristianBookPreviews

For children ages 1 - 3, Jesus Hears Me by Joni Walker provides simple but solid Bible lessons in a rhyming presentation that youngsters can follow and even memorize. The colorful drawings on extremely thick cardboard pages are very diverse. Boys and girls are pictured with diverse skin colors and of various ages, and one child is shown confined to a wheelchair. The message is that Jesus hears the prayers of children day and night, at home or far away, in good times and bad, and when playing or going to sleep. It is explained that this is because Jesus died to take sins away and is looking forward to having time with his people in heaven one day.

Meanwhile, Jesus truly enjoys to hear children pray to him because he loves them dearly. This little book is eye appealing, rhythmic, and scripturally sound. -- Dr. Dennis E. Hensley, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
