Lucado always delivers a thought-provoking, sensitive and challenging read. "Jesus: The God Who Knows Your Name" is no exception to the rule. I was able to read the first four chapters early and truly enjoyed this reminder of the God who took on human form so He could dwell among us. The book allows the reader a fresh perspective on Christ's life and ministry during his 33 years on earth.

Don't miss out on this book. Relevant and real, this one will draw you closer to Him. There is also an accompanying Bible study available to use in a small group setting.

I was an early reader, thanks to Thomas Nelson. All opinions are my own.

I'm part of the launch team for this book and I love it! It gives me a new perspective on what Jesus actually came and went through. I can't wait to read the whole book. We were given the opportunity to view the first four chapters.

This book is all about Max's point of view from what he sees Jesus as and made assumptions outside of the bible. He portrays Jesus as being human just like the rest of us. He rarely mentioned how Jesus was perfect and without sin. Max stated Jesus was "the life of the party." He went on to say how Jesus hung out with sinners and not saints but failed to mention how the sinners quickly changed to follow Jesus or quickly left. Max said the imagine he sees of Jesus is Jesus hysterically laughing. We know Jesus laughed and cried but no where in the bible does it say how Jesus was the life of the party and hysterically laughed often. The only time i have seen an imagine of Jesus hysterically laughing was in a Unity Co-exist church that preached about Jesus but accepted all religions. I would highly not recommend this book to any christian who believes only what the bible says and not what an author portrays the life of Jesus to be. I have read through part three chapter nine and decided to stop reading and put the book down.
