We LOVE this book. It is a great family devotional that points the kids (and us!) towards the loving heart of our Savior every morning. It focuses on God's love, his truth, and Biblical promises, and I love that it's not about religious ideas or man's tradition. It is covenant truth (he wants good things for us, not "he'll give you cancer to teach you a lesson" kind of stuff), and it's so refreshing to have found a devotional for our family that is truth-focused instead of religion focused. It speaks to my husband and I almost as much (or more!) than to the kids; we are often blown away by how it is on point every day for where we are at. I would give 10 stars if I could!
I got this for a 2nd grade Chinese boy living with me. We just started it January 1 ( 5 days ago) and he can read it and understands most of the words. He reads the Scripture references from my NASB . I am very pleased with this as I thought it might be to hard for a 7 year old. I like the way it is written and the application for children--and if you read it with them it can also bring conviction to an adult heart. I had no idea what to expect- but it was better than what I thought it might be.-
