Has he been sent to bring stability to the region, or does his employer want to create Auschwitz-type borders around Israel to further the Arabs' goal of annihilating the Jews once and for all? Marlena Ariel Geren was born in Split, Croatia (formerly Yugoslavia). Raised in Berlin, Germany, she attended school there, moved to the U.S. in 1991 and has been an American citizen since 1996. She traveled on location and spent three years doing research for this novel.
