Our group has really enjoyed studying in the book of James and we look forward to studying more by John McArthur. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to study the book of James in the Bible. It breaks down each verse and you are able to answer the questions and really have a great group discussion.

great Bible study. good questions, great information

This is the second John MacArthur Bible study workbook that I have led a group of women through in studying the Bible, and it will not be the last. What the gals and I like is lots of Scripture, good study notes, thoughtful questions, and no busy work.

There are 12 lessons and the homework for each lesson can be done in one sitting, but the student will glean the most from studying it daily, doing a page or two a day.

This has been a gear study guide and it os exactly what i expect from John MacArthur. The book comes with his commentary attached to NKJV of the verses. Theres about 12 questions a section, about 4 focusing on the text of the book, another 4 focsuing on a verse or versus that relate to what your studying, then 4 that relate to personal experiences and what your learning. i am using this book with 2 other guides, but it cpuld essily be used by itself.

Takes a difficult book and provides a study guide that is easy to understand and easily interprets the material. Allows for sound thought provoking discussions.
