It's a Heart Thing

Sheila Dowell is the wife of Pastor Clay Dowell of Faith Temple Church in Nashville, Tennessee. They have been married for thirty-four years and have two birth children and five grandchildren. In addition, they have two custodial children. Sheila has had a wide range of ministry involvement in her twenty-five years of service in God's kingdom. She has taught children's Sunday school and adult Sunday school and was involved in a singing ministry for about six years. She also helped to start a codependency class in her former church, where she served as a facilitator in the classes as well as gave support to those involved in the classes. At that same church, Sheila worked on the communion committee and also participated in studies on how to properly and respectfully prepare, provide, and serve in ministry. Sheila's most recent ministry opportunity has been to serve as a volunteer at a local food pantry and clothes closet for those in need in her community.
