Some things in life have no earthly explanation.
Miracles are not reserved for the characters in the Old and New Testaments; they happen to everyday people.
Series creators Don Jacobson and K-LOVE Radio have joined together to produce one of the most remarkable collections of modern-day miracles ever compiled. From angel appearances in hospital rooms to a mother saved from a would-be assailant in Hyde Park, from a young autistic girl becoming a beautiful ballerina overnight to a young backpacker who walked away from a terrorist attack, Its a God Thing presents some of the most amazing stories of Gods hand on our lives.
Be motivated as never before to look for and witness the incredible ways that God is interacting in your life and the lives of those around you.
With their new book, Its a God Thing, I believe K-LOVE and my friend Don Jacobson will call friends of Jesus everywhere to look for His capers around the world! I'm a crier, so most of the stories made me teary. But mostly, time and time again, I was reminded that God is good.
The book is a collection of 46 stories different people, written in their own words, of when they experienced something that they knew just had to be a God thing. The stories make you feel connected to the author. This book is an easy read, with each story only a few pages long, making it a good choice for moms who can only spare a few minutes here or there to dip into a book.
Miracles do happen and have happened in my life. I was reminded that miracles don't have to be on a grand scale. It can be as simple as God putting someone directly in your life to pray for you or giving you one last glorious day with the person you love.
This book was provided to me free of charge by Book Look in return for my honest review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Scotty4 Stars Out Of 5Encouraging stories of God doing the miraculousApril 12, 2014ScottyQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Have you ever read the Bible and found yourself amazed at the great things God has done or in awe of the miracles Jesus performed?
I think most of us have. And many of us have also thought that such great things only happened "back in the day" when great heroes of the faith lived lives that would later be recorded in the Bible for us to read about today.
But God hasn't stopped doing the miraculous!
To help us see how God is still very active in the lives of people today --- even in a miraculous way --- Don Jacobson and K-LOVE created the book, "It's A God Thing" (published by W Publishing, an imprint of Thomas Nelson).
This paperback book is a collection of forty-six short stories that tell of miracles people have experienced in contemporary times, or experiences that could not be explained in any way other than being "a God thing."
This is an encouraging book, as it provides testimony by people in our time of the great things God is still doing, giving personal witness to God's love and care for us and his continued direct involvement in our lives today. It's not a theological book, just one full of stories that will leave you praising God for not just the great things He has done, but for the great things He continues to do.

BrandiAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Collection of modern miracles that truly inspires!March 26, 2014BrandiAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It is a preconceived notion that miracles are restricted to biblical times, and no longer occur in today's world. It's a God Thing is a collection of stories from ordinary people living ordinary lives, but each experiences an extraordinary miracle. Some of the miracles included are a letter traveling 2,000 miles across country in less than twelve hours to reach a beloved one hours before dying, a woman being revived after dying on the hot asphalt of a grocery store parking lot, a stranger knowing a married couple's troubles of miscarriages and reviving their faith in Him, and, my personal favorite, God holding back a snow storm to give a mother and daughter one last beautiful day together.
After being off my spiritual path for the last few months, this book was what I needed to bring me back on track, and closer to Him. Every story was inspirational in its own way, and each revealed that God has His purpose for each of His children. Every page resonates with the truth that with God, all things really are possible!
