Cheryl-Lee Raine5 Stars Out Of 5April 10, 2010Cheryl-Lee RaineThis review was written for Israel, My Beloved.Another wonderful book by Kay Arthur! I'm a Precept student of God's Word and I was rather intrigued by this piece of historical fiction. As my favourite Christian fiction genre is biblical/historical so I decided to purchase it. I'm in the middle of reading it at the moment but it definitely gets thumbs-up!! I've always been fascinated by the history of Israel and general Jewish history so this book has been amazing in so any ways!! A must buy for anyone hooked on biblical/historical fiction and interests in Jewish history!!

e_mugsrove5 Stars Out Of 5Quality Writing From a Unique PerspectiveFebruary 14, 2019e_mugsroveQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Israel, My Beloved.I first read this book about a decade ago while in my teens, (from my church library,) and I'll admit, it was probably too inappropriate for reading from a maturity standpoint, but it also lines up so fantastically with what's in scripture (the Bible is rather sexual) that you can't really say that a teenager shouldn't be reading this text, whearas the Bible is fine. That being said, I don't regret reading it and it actually helped put much of the Bible into perspective. It also helped me grasp the stance of Judaism today. There is a very general regard toward Christ in this book, but it's told from God's original choosing of Israel and their continuously strained relationship. Taking into context that non-Messianic Jews don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah, it makes sense that Jesus isn't the forefront of the text. Overall, this text does a great job of helping put the relationship of God with the Jewish people into a more readable format to make the Bible make sense as we read.

kelly5 Stars Out Of 5February 12, 2008kellyThis review was written for Israel, My Beloved. We were doing "The Partiarchs" by Beth Moore in our bible study group and a friend offered this book to me. A beautiful picture of the heritage we have been adopted into. I learned so much about this nation and a new love for these people because of it. It is written the only way Kay Arthur could, exquisitely! I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it.

Teresa Schade-lugo5 Stars Out Of 5December 12, 2007Teresa Schade-lugoThis review was written for Israel, My Beloved. My husband and I have been doing Kay Arthur's online study of Daniel... This book was mentioned by Kay and is another way for us to understand the Bible -precept by precept. We are very blessed to have studied the book of Daniel with Kay's instruction and we are enjoying this book as Kay brings to life all of what we have been taught in a scripturally 'fiction type' way in this uniquely wonderful book.
