Tom4 Stars Out Of 5Informative with lots of illustrationsApril 11, 2016TomQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 3This volume is a high quality production in terms of paper and binding. It provides quite a bit of background information on history and practices during Isaiah's times and includes many apt photos and illustrations. With only about 190 pages of narrative and one or two illustrations on nearly every page, however, it is somewhat brief. As to content, the reader will find that the author presents much of what Isaiah writes in the context of surrounding pagan practices. Such is informative but, in my opinion, not very helpful in interpreting the book. Still, the background information on the history of the era and on Jewish religion, culture and government make it worthwhile.
