Many women have a distrust for intimacy hidden deep within them. Whether out of life’s choices, abuses, or lies, love’s expression is for them a closed door — the sacred has been profaned. Often, the damage is not only to relationships with husbands but loved ones, friends, and most significantly God. Drawing from her own experience and vital ministry, author Marian Green (with practical support and counsel from Luke Brasel) invites you to heal and love with your whole self. By authentically engaging God’s Spirit, Scripture, and personal relationships, Green has seen many women dismantle the barriers that would deny the beauty of godly love.

The authors are vulnerable, honest and solid in their discussions and sharing. In my years of ministry with women, I found many to be desirous of, yet lacking in, the area of intimacy in their marriage. As the authors point out, contentment is a necessary ingredient for intimacy. The enemies of contentment are comparison, criticism and control. These are accurate, true statements that witness to my spirit. I will pass this book onto my three married daughters so they might glean the nuggets of wisdom in this book to invite deeper intimacy in their marriage relationships.
Jenn5 Stars Out Of 5When nobody wants to talk about intimacy, Marian and Luke are brilliantly brave!August 2, 2016JennQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Inviting Intimacy truly spoke to my heart. It is the perfect book for any woman in your life! Marian shares her journey through promiscuity, struggles with self-worth, and intimacy. It is so well written, that not having the exact same struggles, I was able to identify with so many parts of her healing journey. This is definitely a book I plan to share with other women in hopes to help and encourage them. Marian's transparency throughout the book is so refreshing. So many times I read a book and it is very black and white, right and wrong. Marian shows us that real life and learning to love God first, and then yourself isn't always pretty. It gets messy! It is so reliving to know I am not alone in this spiritual battle many are so afraid to address. Marian and Luke made an excellent team in co-writing this book. I hope it speaks to many others as it did to me! I am grateful to have the opportunity to read Inviting Intimacy and learn I am not alone!
