From the minds of Bill Myers, Frank Peretti, Angela Hunt, and Alton Gansky, Invitation compiles the first four episodes of the Harbingers series, each following a different character.
BRENDA - The street-hustling tattoo artist who sees images of the future.
THE PROFESSOR - The atheist ex-priest ruled by logic.
ANDI - The professor's brilliant but geeky assistant who sees inexplicable patterns
TANK - The naïve, big-hearted jock with a surprising connection to a healing power.
The four find out that pockets of darkness are emerging throughout the world. Whether it involves a mysterious house, the unexplainable death of animals around the world, or an otherworldly little girl, each mystery they solve brings them closer to the ultimate explanation of what's happening. What will happen if they don't solve the mysteries in time?

Gathering four stories from four bestselling author friends, Invitation is the first collection in the ongoing Harbingers series.
In "The Call" by Bill Myers, four strangers are drawn together to help a student at the mysterious Institute for Advanced Psychic Studies. His gifts are supposedly being honed to assist world leaders . . . but there are some very disturbing strings attached. Frank Peretti's "The Haunted" confronts a supernatural mystery, a case of murder, and an exploration into the darkness of the human heart, all centering around a mysterious house.
In Angela Hunt's "The Sentinels," animals around the world are mysteriously dying. What could it mean? When the tragedy begins to touch Andi's dreams, she discovers a terrifying theory. "The Girl" by Alton Gansky is a gripping tale of a young barefoot girl found holding a scroll in the snowy Oregon mountains. She is sweet, innocent--apparently not of this world--and something wants to kill her.
Frank E. Peretti is one of American Christianity's best-known authors. His novels, including This Present Darkness, have sold more than 10 million copies. He makes his home in Idaho. Learn more at www.frankperetti.com.

hes74 Stars Out Of 5InvitationNovember 14, 2017hes7Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Invitation is such a fun and interesting read. Four authorsBill Myers, Frank Peretti, Angela Hunt, and Alton Ganskyteamed up to write a series of interconnected novellas, each author a different character. The stories tell of a group of odd and very different characters, the supernatural events they encounter, and the lengths they must go to survive. Its unique with its set-up and intriguing with its suspense, though it does lack the character development and resolution I would have liked to see simply because of the ongoing nature of the novella series. Still, I quite enjoyed reading Invitation and look forward to continuing the series.
Thanks to Bethany House, I received a complimentary copy of Invitation and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Creepy. Eerie. Unearthly. They may all essentially be the same word, but, believe me, they ALL apply to Invitation. I wanted to read this book for two reasons: Frank Peretti and Bill Myers. I grew up on The Cooper Kids and Forbidden Doors so I had something of an inkling what I might be in for. The other two authors, Angela Hunt and Alton Gansky, are new to me, though, I've heard good things about both of them.
Yeah, I kinda got what I asked for. A book I couldn't put down. One that I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning to finish. And caused me to keep the lights on after I turned that last page as I tried to go to sleep. Anyone who has ever read a Peretti or Myers book knows exactly what I'm talking about. Once you start, you can't stop reading, and Invitation was no exception.
The idea of taking four very different characters in four interconnected stories, each one from a different viewpoint penned by four authors was quite interesting and they pulled it off well. I'm curious to see where these four talented authors will be taking this story, and characters, in the future. I know there are a number of episodes already out, and there will be more 4-episode books, so I have some good reading to look forward to....
(I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are entirely my own.)

CozyWriter'sDen5 Stars Out Of 5Loved itJuly 18, 2017CozyWriter'sDenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I haven't been this excited about a book since Patrick Carr's last novel! Invitation had me spellbound and kept me turning the pages until 2am. I've been telling all my friends about this amazing new series and urging them to pick up a copy ASAP.
What is really neat about Invitation is its uniqueness. I have read hundreds (probably thousands) of books, but I haven't ever seen one quite like this, and that makes me very excited. Invitation has one overarching story that is split into four smaller stories - each one written from a different character's point of view and by a different author. I had my doubts about how this would turn out, but they were unfounded. This book reads like a riveting TV series and is SO much fun! I hope this team of authors keeps this new series going for a good long while. I have a feeling it will be a long time before I'm tired of these four adventures.
Speaking of the characters...the concept behind their adventures is very cool (if not a little unnerving). This book delves into "the behind the scenes" events. A second dimension. Do you know what I'm talking about? Angels, demons, forces that play a role in this world but that we can't see. Brenda, the Professor, Andi, and Tank each have their own unique ability to battle against an unseen evil that is rising in the world. As events start happening with increasing frequency, these four are thrust together in the most unlikely but miraculous fashions. I don't want to give anything away...but like I said, I couldn't put this book down. I highly recommend it.
Thank-you to Graf Martin Communication and to Baker Publishing House for a complimentary copy of this book.
