▼▲How Great Thou Art's An Introduction to Art History Part IV - The Renaissance, Reformation & 1600s (no part III is currently available - this curriculum currently follows "Part II: Ancient Art" by Barry Stebbing is a full-year of art history that can be integrated into any type of homeschool! This curriculum features age-integrated, 30-minute sessions that connect art history to other areas of fine arts.
This course includes a 65-page booklet with the lessons that students either read or listen to a parent read, 9 full-color art cards, and a set of cardstock art lesson cards for students to complete. Twelve lessons per unit are included (36 total). As students finish studying the masterpiece cards and complete their art history lessons, the cards can be placed into a three-ring-binder, creating a delightful portfolio by the end of the course.
In this course students will study the art of Giotto, Titian, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Van Eyck, Durer, Bosch, Rubens, Bruegel, Rembrandt, Vermeer, and others. Students will learn about drawing hands, anatomy, perspective, still life studies, shading, and more. Quizzes (with answers upside down on the quiz page) are also integrated throughout.
Ages 7 & up.
