El libro Introducción a la apologética cristiana de Antonio Cruz es una respuesta a la tendencia hostil que hay en nuestro mundo y sociedad actual, la cual tiende a ridiculizar a la religión y a la fe cristiana de forma especial, y por supuesto a la existencia de Dios, dando argumentos científicos, filosóficos y sociales para acabar mostrando que la fe cristiana es una fe "no científica, no razonada, etc."
La razón principal del libro es, precisamente, responder a cuestiones fundamentales del cristianismo con la intención de proporcionar herramientas apologéticas útiles, no solo para los jóvenes, sino también, para todos aquellos que las requieran y fundamentar científicamente "La evidencia de Dios".
