theChristianReviewerAge: 45-54Gender: Male4 Stars Out Of 5Small font, but very good original language Bible study resource!February 9, 2018theChristianReviewerAge: 45-54Gender: MaleQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4There are quite a few reviews out there on Hendrickson's Hebrew-Greek-English Interlinear Bible that are commenting negatively on the size of the print within this book.
While these negative comments are hard to argue with, the resource value of this book really is fantastic. If you don't have the best eyes, then you will want to get a magnifier of some sort. Some of the smaller markings on the original text are pretty hard to read unfortunately.
Alternatively, Hendrickson has a 4-volume set that they have created that should have a more user-friendly font. Even so, this single volume one is a fantastic resource.
If you are wanting to get a resource that you can see the literal translation into English from the Hebrew and Greek, then this is a fantastic option for you. The English portion of the New Testament is one of the most literal translations - it is not King James version, but it is derived from the same Textus Receptus that the King James was translated from. Likewise, the Old Testament is a literal translation from the Masoretic Text.
The English reading may be a tad odd for some readers as it is a literal translation which doesn't always make for a smooth flowing reading experience. Especially in the Old Testament where they kept the inline English reading with the Hebrew, so it reads right-to-left. Even with that, this is a resource to help you study the Word and get a better understanding of the original languages in which it was written.
Included in the text are also the Strong's reference numbers.
I received a copy of this Bible in exchange for this review from Hendrickson Publishers and all opinions are my own. -

BobbyAge: 55-65Gender: male2 Stars Out Of 5too tiny printMarch 12, 2015BobbyAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 2The print is too small and the print/ink quality is poor! With the print being so small the print should have at least been sharp, but instead it's thick and fuzzy! I also noticed in one of the new testament chapters they stopped mid sentence leaving out half the sentence and the rest of the paragraph which is just poor editing. But even that is not the deal breaker, it's the very small print, I can't stress that enough. It's just not something enjoyable to pick up and read. Also with the 4 volumes cramped into one, it's awefully heavy. I'm actually looking for something else to replace it with a larger font.

Dave5 Stars Out Of 5Interlinear BibleNovember 2, 2018DaveQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have owned mine for more than 25 years and have used it extensively to detect deception in english translations. It is amazing to see how much mis-interpretation exists. Check out Luke 22:38, in the HCSB version, then check ALL other translations. The interlinear Bible makes Jesus' meaning clear. Many more examples in NIV, HCSB, and others I'm sure. If you are serious about understanding God's word, this is a MUST!

Dave5 Stars Out Of 5I love my tool boxJanuary 21, 2015DaveQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am not a Greek or Hebrew wiz kid, just me. Every now and then I get a bit heavy in my studies and I want to dig deeper. I am convinced this book will go much deeper than my needs so I am one who will say "I love it". For the lay person who is serious about The Word this is a real tool, not unlike having a good concordance at your side as a tool in your studies.
I read some of the reviews already given, by those who may well be light years ahead of me, and it seems like they are splitting hairs trying to find something to complain about. The complaints are mostly about the book as a book, not its content.
This will be with me until I meet my Lord and He will straighten me out.
