Product Description

This is the only complete interlinear Bible available in English and is also on one convenient volume. This interlinear is keyed to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Interlinears are a time-saving tool for you to research the subtle nuances and layers of meaning within the original biblical languages and this one features the complete Hebrew and Greek texts with a direct English rendering below each word, and it also includes The Literal Translation of the Bible in the outside column. Strong's numbers are printed directly above the Hebrew and Greek words which enables you to easily access a wealth of language reference works that are also keyed to Strong's such as Greek/Hebrew dictionaries, analytical lexicons, concordances, word studies, and more even if you do not know Greek and Hebrew. The Hebrew is based on the Masoretic Text and the Greek is from the Textus Receptus. The sources of the texts are documented in the preface, and are essentially the same (with some minor variations) to the Hebrew and Greek texts used by the KJV translators.

I was looking for a parallel Bible with the original languages. This edition is one of the best ones out today. The down side is the text size is rally small and its all cramp together, there is no space to make notes. I will like to see a print with bigger text and more space for notes, because it is an exelent tool for those interested in a deeper word study. It is not for every.

Anyone who has gone deeper into God's word realizes the problems with translations. Although well meaning, the groups of people who translate, come up short. This bible puts the word in English above the Hebrew or Greek word, so you know what it really says. I study end-times prophecy, and have found it exceptionally useful.

I bought this Bible for my husband. He wanted something with the holy language incorporated. This version gives us Hebrew plus the strongs concordance so real studying can be accomplished. It also has the literal translation and that's great. The king James is not something we care for. However, it has its good points. The print is extremely small but is to be expected with so much that is going on inside this wonderful book of words and instructions from our creator, YHWH. Oh, and the "new" testament is in greek with its strongs numbers, as well. We recommend this bible.

I like having both new and old testament interlinears in one volume, and the strong numbers can be useful. The biggest flaw for me would be the large size which is effectively that of a small coffee table book. I bought this with the idea of using it as my main Bible to take places, this is a bit big for that. The book could have been a fair deal smaller if they had not included the second English translation in the margins which would have diminished the size by about a third. This second English translation seems quite necessary as I have other Bibles if I need to read a straight English text (like I imagine is the case with most who would buy this book), and only serves to add to the size without adding any real extra benefit. I would recommend, but with reservations.

A:

Any Strong's Concordance can be used with this Interlinear.

Q: Does the English text use old English as in the KJV

No, this is not translated into King James English, but is the most literal translation of the original texts available, which would necessitate not using outdated words, such as verily and thou.

Q: Esther 2:5 what does it state in jp green interlinear bible? in the jp green interlinear bible Esther 2:5 what does it state in English?

A:

In this book, Esther 2:5 reads, "In Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, and his name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shamei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite..."

Q: What is font size of text of literal translation, it looks very small ?

A:

The font size is 6 point or less.

Q: What version of the Bible is used for the English text in The Interlinear Hebrew-Greek-English Bible, One-Volume Edition

A:

The English text is not any particular translation but is taken from the same original texts the KJV was derived from with the English wording, as much as possible, a literal translation of those texts. Because of differing grammatical rules, the transliteration located under the original text has been rearranged in order to make the literal translation paragraphing more readable.
