Publisher's Description

John C. Maxwell, #1 New York Times bestselling author, helps readers take the first steps to living a life that matters in INTENTIONAL LIVING.
We all have a longing to be significant. We want to make a contribution, to be a part of something noble and purposeful. But many people wrongly believe significance is unattainable. They worry that it's too big for them to achieve. That they have to have an amazing idea, be a certain age, have a lot of money, or be powerful or famous to make a real difference.

The good news is that none of those things is necessary for you to achieve significance and create a lasting legacy. The only thing you need to achieve significance is to be intentional. And to do that, all you need to do is start. You can't make an impact sitting still and doing nothing. Every major accomplishment that's ever been achieved started with a first step. Sometimes it's hard; other times it's easy, but no matter what, you have to do it if you want to get anywhere in life.

In INTENTIONAL LIVING, John Maxwell will help you take that first step, and the ones that follow, on your personal path through a life that matters.

I've read MOST of John Maxwell's books; and honestly, I've tried to serve those I'm blessed to influence (in ministry and education) using many of the priniciples I've learned from this gifted author. I find this to be his BEST WORK! it beautifully encapsulates his life's work in a practical manner with guidance on how to (apply) lessons learned.

Chapter 1: He opens this chapter with a surprise story - The Greatest Story Ever Told. (Looking forward to the complementary journals due to be released in November 2016).

Chapter 2: Why Good Intentions Aren't Enough; John has a way of stimulating [action] on the readers' part.

    Chapter 3: Great (practical) advice on how to start; reminds me of the axiom: THINK BIG-start small- k e e p m o v i n g.

Chapter 4: Search Until You Find Your Why: A time of introspection as you consider: 1. What Do You Cry About? 2. What Do You Sing About? 3. What Do You Dream About?

Chapter 5: It's difficult to summarize in a short (phrase or sentence) what I have learned from John, but this chapter focuses on the DNA of his work - ADDING VALUE TO OTHERS (AVTO).

Chapter 6: AVTO from the Sweetspot ; this chapter alone is priceless!

Chapter 7: From "I HAVE A DREAM" to...

Chapter 8: ...The Four Things Every Person Needs to be Successful - He keeps it R.E.A.L., this chapter caused me to reflect on my personal core values, which I've documented with the acrostic:

    S piritual Reproduction

    U nlimited Power

    C hristlike Character

    C ovenant Relationships

    E vangelism & World Missions

    S ervanthood

    S tewardship

    F ellowship

    U nity

    L ove

Chapter 9: John shares his personal testimony and causes one to reflect on Living With A Sense of Anticipation.

Chapter 10: Seizing Significance Opportunities: "You can taste significance, and once you taste significance, success will never satisfy you again." John Maxwell

EPILOGUE: You too have the opportunity to share YOUR story with others. This book ends how it begins, with a hunger and thirst for YOU to fulfill YOUR GOD-GIVEN PURPOSE.

I was so inspired by this book, that I have a Youth Conference scheduled for April 2017, in the Philippines, where I will share and pour into the future LEADERS of that country the TREASURES I learned with "Intentional Living."
