The Integrated Physics and Chemistry course from Paradigm Accelerated Curriculum (PAC) will introduce students to the people, places, and principles of physics and chemistry, including the scientists whose discoveries we rely upon today. This course has deliberately avoided complex math in order to draw students into high-school level science; it's therefore perfect as a slow introduction to the topic, or for students who need remedial help! It can be used for pre-high school students, or for high school (recommended Grades 9-10 remedial).
Integrated Physics and Chemistry Chapter 2 covers the Galileo and the Pendulum, The Three Laws of Motion, Newton and Gravity, Simple Machines, Mechanical and Heat Energy, and more.
15 lessons 62 non-reproducible pages, stapled binding, magazine-style paper cover. Grades 9-10 remedial. This text contains no exercises; those are available in the sold-separately Integrated Physics and Chemistry Activity Booklet, Chapter 2 This is a single text out of a series of 12 texts and 12 activity books (each sold-separately, or available as a full kit), which together is designed to take two years to complete. This curriculum is written from a Christian perspective.

mamanami4 Stars Out Of 5Excellent content, Harder than expectedApril 25, 2015mamanamiQuality: 4Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4This course is very good. Chapter 2, in particular, contains many formulas and mathematical problems but explains elementary physics in a very approachable manner. Don't expect that a child can be sent off to read this on their own and really understand the concepts, however. I have found that talking through this text to be an essential part of truly grasping the material. The only downside of the series is that it is completely in black and white. I also wish there was a bit more geology and weather included (though it does have some). We are using this for 9th grade and have found it to be a strong and challenging IPC course.
