Instant Bible Lessons for Preschoolers
October 13, 2016
Instant Bible Lessons for Preschoolers by Pamela J. Kuhn is an excellent resource for childrens workers. The
theme of the book is What It Means to Belong to Jesus. The first six chapters are each designed around a
body part. Ms Kuhn begins with a memory verse and Bible story. This is followed by a memory verse review
activity. After the memory activity, there are several song and craft suggestions. Chapter 7 is about things;
chapter 8 is My Life; and chapter 9 has various supplemental activities. I especially like the art activities.
This guide would be great for the extended session in the preschool department of your church or for use in day
school or home school for early Bible teaching and art lessons. You could easily adapt this study to teach
preschoolers body parts, and since I live in an area with many Hispanic children, I would even put
English/Spanish titles on a wall chart of the body. If you use any of the food activities, be careful about using
peanut butter as some children are severely allergic to peanuts. You could possibly make a substitution. There
are many activities that require cutting of paper. You may have to prepare these parts ahead of time. Overall, I
think Instant Bible Lessons for Preschoolers would be a profitable addition to your resource file.
