Experience Bible stories as seen through the eyes of some of the greatest master artists of all time. Inspired by the Word features sixty of the world’s great works of art—created throughout history—each depicting beautifully crafted full-color biblical scenes.
Together, J. Sage Elwell and Corinna Ricasoli bring each piece of art alive. Insight into the art, including the era, background, and cultural context of each piece are provided. The biblical scenes that are reproduced, spark personal reflection with thought-provoking daily readings inspired by these ancient mosaics, folk designs, medieval tapestries, and great masterpieces. This is ideal for devotional readers, gift givers, and art lovers alike.
