Tell us a little about yourself. I served more than 40 years as an ordained and commissioned officer with The Salvation Army in Canada. In that time I served in a variety of roles, including elementary school teacher, church pastor, editor of Salvation Army publications, college professor.
I grew up on the island of Newfoundland. I became a Christian at the age of 9 when I committed my life to Christ in a children's meeting.
I love the outdoors and everything about it- camping, fishing, boating etc.
What was your motivation behind this project? I realized that there were not a lot of resources for men's ministry in my denomination and what was available was preachy. I wanted to create a book that began with men's interests and lead them to a closer walk with God.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope men will see that God is with them everywhere; they only have to listen.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? The Bible is my number one source of inspiration. I read from it every day. My favorite author is C. S. Lewis. I have read most everything he wrote and several books about him.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I am currently working on a children's book, which I hope to have published in the near future.
