Written in a singular voice that speaks directly to the soul, Ashley Linne shows how to read the Scripture with a gentleness and gentility that will take the breath away from both the beginner and the scholar. This is a book for which one might be grateful on that proverbial desert island everyone asks about."—Leonard Sweet, Drew University, George Fox University, chief contributor to sermons.com.

My favorite example from the book is the idea of viewing myself as sponge and Jesus as water (pg 2) allowing myself to be saturated in Him. Being a planner, I easily fixate on organizing and prioritizing my day. I now see that I do not have to put Jesus first as He is already a part of everything I do. He gives me approval, identity, and significance. I do not have to look to the world for these things.

Inseparable focuses on the book of Romans in a new translation, The Voice, which gave me a fresh perspective of Pauls letter. Each chapter discusses an aspect of our identity in Christ and gives examples of different characters in Scripture who exemplified those qualities. Interactive exercises facilitated deeper study of the material that helped me meditate on what I read and apply it to my life.

Ashleys vulnerability in sharing personal examples of hard situations helped me connect with her experiences. I am not the only one who has struggled. She explained how these taught her to live confidently and securely in Christ, ready to face lifes challenges with strength and courage.

I was also invited to participate in an online study of the book with close to 100 women. Reading posts about how the book spoke into the lives of others made this a special experience for me. Thank you Ashley for the blessing of being in this group.

This book begins each chapter by telling you who you are in Christ using Romans eight. There is then commentary added and other scriptures to help explain her points. Then you are pointed to other chapters in Romans for more study. Such an amazing study! Its also an inspiration for any woman who has struggled with self-esteem {umm hello}. This book is packed with uplifting and embracing advice.

This book was provided to me free of charge by Book Look in return for my honest review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Here is an excellent tool to equip the Body to feed the spirit and stretch our faith muscles! For a long time now I have been a proponent of really saturating my life with the Word and have been blessed to have a travel companion on the same journey. In this study, readers will be encouraged to read through the entire book of Romans. As a help so as not to overwhelm us, a reading guide is included in the appendix.

The author uses The Voice translation throughout the book, but also suggests reading from any version that might be more preferable. The study is not a verse by verse expos on Romans, but principles shared with us are found in the book of Romans. A question that people ask in various seasons of life is addressed in the book which is, Who am I in Christ? Where we get our identity really tends to send us on a path in life that can be filled with adventure, revelations and hope.

The format is designed for participants to begin with prayer, followed by Big Picture, Context, Original Audience and Stand Out Moments. I see where the design of the study teaches truths about who we are in Him along with how we can approach any book in the Bible so as to come away closer to Him than before. The Come Together section that closes each chapter may or may not be of use to readers, depending on how one utilizes the study.

Grab a copy or two, ask God to see if He would have you study with someone or by yourself with Him alone. Either way, you dont want to forego drawing near to Him as He longs for us to!

    A pastor here.

Reading this book, I thought that it would be a great for a small group study or just a few women who want to get together and learn more about what God wants for their spiritual identity in Christ. Overall it's very scriptural founded, isn't afraid to go deep, but always brings it back to real life. The book is littered with personal stories that flow with the theme and drive the overall feel of the book. I know I'm a guy, but I loved it and I'm sure there are women who would get a lot out of it too.

It's filled with space for notes, questions with opportunities to respond, and highlights to help groups.
