Tell us a little about yourself. I grew up going to church with my elder grandmother Florence in a little church in Arkansas; I heard the preacher talk about God, and the older women loved to sang about God! but God always seem so far away from me! When i moved to Denver, Colorado, again my sister took me to church, where I loved the Pastor's heart for God! and his Love for people! It was in this Church, God revealed Himself to me by pushing me on my shoulder! not only one time but the third time I arose and went to altar and gave my life to this God, that I knew was real! and caring, Loving and desired me to come to know and experience Him! 1 JOHN 4:16
What was your motivation behind this project? I had already written 3 books: "LOVE SEARCH" POWER OF PERSERVANCE" WITH HIM! I believed in my heart I had completed my assignments to writes books! One day I was at leadership conference, and they called Pastors to come forward and when I was standing at the altar, a man put his hands on my should and gave me these words from God: "Polly, God sees that You have written 3 other books, but God wants You to write workbook" Well I went to my seat and prayed and God revealed after much Prayer and research how it would look and who it was for and brought me His Editor for: "INNER HEALING" (INNER HEALING) is our manual we have used for teaching in community, small groups, women prisons, seminars, conferences, TV, Radio for the last 28 years.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My heart is as God revealed His Unconditional, Unmeasurable, Unceasing Caring Love and Healing to me , that everyone who reads "INNER HEALING" will come to Know and Experience God in greater measure personally. Not only as God but as their Abba Father God, Elohim, who Loves Us beyond measurer! and desires an intimate relationship and fellowship with Us!
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? When I was asking, seeking God for an Editor, I had another Editor I wanted to do the work, as she is gifted to do the work. I just know she was the right editor. But as I reached out to her she was committed to several others works. But in my heart I just knew she was the one out of her abilities. After I was almost finished writing "INNER HEALING" I reached out again to her and she told me she was not able to, as she was so tired and was in faith for her husband healing. Well I went back to God and said" Who is Your Editor"? God told me in my heart Royalene was the One and when I reached out to her, she prayed and said God told her she would be able to edit my works! Praise our God! He always Knows! JEREMIAH 33:3 (PS/Loved her heart for me and "INNER HEALING), she also Edited "LOVE SEARCH" .
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I love Marilyn Hickey's Teachings, writings, Leadership and being a forerunner in Ministry, especially for women. God used Marilyn to give me personal Word and confirmation of His call on my life and work of Ministry. Marilyn and Pastor Wally married Ray and me and prayed diligently over our lives! Ever so Thankful for All the Mentors, God sent into my heart and life.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I grew up believing I was unloved, unaccepted and with very little value or worth. When God revealed Himself to me personally and within with His Spirit of Love and Power, God changed me from the inside and began to prepare me for the work of His Ministry to the broken, wounded, hurting Woman . Today I'm overfilled with His Love and Knowing where I'm God is and where God is I'm!
