Inference Jones Level 1

Inference Jones provides short, fun, and easy-to-use activities that improve critical reading and higher-order thinking by developing the student's ability to draw inferences from written text as they identify and evaluate evidence.

Inference Jones: Level 1 has an engaging mix of fiction and non-fiction stories to inform and entertain students as they learn and analyze. Questions following all stories teach students to evaluate details that at first seemed insignificant but are actually meaningful! Reading passages are designed to be read aloud, and are followed by questions that ask students to determine if a statement is true, false, or unknown. Open-ended and multiple choice questions will get students inferring definitions of words, emotions, setting, and more.

Level 1 has a readability level appropriate for Grades 5-6 but can also be used as a remedial resource for older students (Grades 7-12+).
