Tell us a little about yourself. I served as a senior pastor for over 12 years. I also worked as a freelance Christian writer for over seven years. I believe the Bible is the inerrant and the infallible Word of God. I currently serve as an evangelist. My wife and I have been married for over 29 years and we have six children.
What was your motivation behind this project? I wanted to do a work for Christian teens and young adults that would speak to the all important subject of dating. I used romance because it is a subject of interest for youths so the book would connect with them.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope Christian teens and youths will be challenged to see the importance of the Word of God in helping them make sound decisions in the area of dating.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I have six children and when I wrote this book several of them were actively dating. This all helped me understand the challenges Christian parents face in trying to steer their children in the right direction when it comes to dating. This book was aimed as a resource in that area.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Writing is an extension of my ministry as a gospel minister. My greatest source of inspiration is the Lord Jesus Christ. My passion in life is to become more like Him. Billy Graham has been an awesome inspiration to me. He has modeled the highest standards for ministers of the gospel.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: Through the help of the Lord Jesus, the counsel of the Scriptures, and the power of the Holy Spirit, youths can still live a holy life for Christ.
