A little slow to start with, but I did enjoy the fact that the family had to search and found what the love of God meant. I liked how the family pulled together as a family and the leadership of the parents with a strong faith. It reminded me of how it must have been for my grandfather, who was a minister, (in the 20's) with ten children in the family and how they all worked together to make a living. The acting was not that great, but the message was good. The song is beautiful.
The amazing interaction between the siblings is one that should occur more often in movies. A good example of love and forgiveness is shown. Also appreciate the definite need of a personal commitment to God as portrayed by the young boy/man.
The acting in this movie was very weak - especially the adults. The kids were cute. Being a musician, it was nice to know the history of the song. It had a few redeeming moments in it, a little humor, even a few tears. Don't watch it if you're tired, you may not make it through. I would recommend this to a couple of my friends, not all.
