Mama Bear5 Stars Out Of 5Great!September 18, 2019Mama BearI actually use this as our science subject for homeschooling our littles. We read it, talk about it and do more research on some of the days. I love the idea of teaching science in a way the marries God to it in such a practical way. (Sidenote: my kids are little. This wouldn't necessarily be an adequate tool for older kids.)
Maryann5 Stars Out Of 5Love this book!July 5, 2019MaryannQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I bought this book to give to my Sunday School class kids who were moving up to the next age group. I wanted to find a way to keep them interested in our great God. This book did the trick! Parents and family can read it together.
mayflowerhomeschool3 Stars Out Of 5Not as expected, but still good devotionJuly 5, 2019mayflowerhomeschoolQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 3I originally bought this thinking it would be a great study to spark conversation leading into a deeper Bible study. Instead, I found that it would be a good devotion for children to read on their own but didn't spark much of any discussion or study past just the reading of the devotion.
Cfnapier085 Stars Out Of 5Great for elementary school age!June 27, 2019Cfnapier08Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My 8.5 year old son has a fascination with animals/science and loves this devotional! Each "chapter" is set up in 2 pages, and he usually reads it independently and then tells me about what he has read. The facts are interesting and always point to our Creator God! We've also used it as a family devotional and have included our younger children as well. Pictures are colorful, and content can hold the attention span of older toddlers/young elementary. Highly recommend!
4th grade teacher5 Stars Out Of 5Children's parents love itMay 13, 20194th grade teacherQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We bought copies of this book for our 4th grade Sunday school class as Easter gifts. The parents have been highly appreciative. One of them, who homeschools her four kids, uses it as a devotional for all of her family. The book goes along well with the creationist worldview which we teach the children during our time with them on Sunday mornings. It's encouraging to find a book which shows science as supporting the Christian worldview rather than attacking it. Our hope is it will strengthen the children's beliefs and enable them to defend those beliefs down the road.
