We bought copies of this book for our 4th grade Sunday school class as Easter gifts. The parents have been highly appreciative. One of them, who homeschools her four kids, uses it as a devotional for all of her family. The book goes along well with the creationist worldview which we teach the children during our time with them on Sunday mornings. It's encouraging to find a book which shows science as supporting the Christian worldview rather than attacking it. Our hope is it will strengthen the children's beliefs and enable them to defend those beliefs down the road.

My 8.5 year old son has a fascination with animals/science and loves this devotional! Each "chapter" is set up in 2 pages, and he usually reads it independently and then tells me about what he has read. The facts are interesting and always point to our Creator God! We've also used it as a family devotional and have included our younger children as well. Pictures are colorful, and content can hold the attention span of older toddlers/young elementary. Highly recommend!

This book uses applicable Bible verses, science facts about God's creation, and encouraging thoughts of how this all applies even to each child. There are challenges, like to be what God has made you to be, to be kind and helpful, to share, to tell others about God. There is at the end of each 2 page devotion, a prayer, asking for help from God to apply the Scripture, and thanking God and praising Him for His Presence with us. I don't think any Christian will be disappointed by this book. Any person, old or young, of any type , should be greatly encouraged by these devotionals :)

I actually use this as our science subject for homeschooling our littles. We read it, talk about it and do more research on some of the days. I love the idea of teaching science in a way the marries God to it in such a practical way. (Sidenote: my kids are little. This wouldn't necessarily be an adequate tool for older kids.)

Indescribable by Louie Giglio is one of my favorite kinds of devotional books. Pastor Louie, as he identifies himself to his readers, has developed 100 devotionals based on facts and observations from God's created world. He is letting the creation testify about the Creator, helping readers grow in faith and in knowledge of their wonderful God.

Pastor Louie identifies four scientific categories for his devotionals: space, earth, animals, and people. Kids and their parents can choose to read straight through the book or focus on one category at a time using the index on page 7.

As with most traditional devotionals, each starts with a Bible verse which is followed by information about something found in God's creation. Pastor Louie helps readers understand what this information can teach readers about God and His ways. He concludes with a short prayer. In addition, prayers are followed by a section called Be Amazed which teaches kids something new of interest about the topic of the devotional. Each devotional also has a full-color photograph or cartoon drawing for added fun.

I especially recommend this book to parents looking for a daily devotional they can read with their children before bedtime or at some other regular time of day. Tommy Nelson sent me a complimentary copy, so that I could share my thoughts with you.
