It is Biblically sound, entertaining, the rhyme is easy to listen to, and this would be great for children to learn God's truths. I look forward to more books in the series. I much prefer a book like this than the cartoonish illustrations or when people add to the Bible and change what God's word actually says. This should be in homes everywhere and in church libraries.

Tell us a little about yourself. Born in Ohio, I am married to a wonderful, Godly, and pretty lady who comes from Upper Sandusky, OH. I have studied the Bible and church history in Ohio, New York, and Alberta, Canada. My wife and I have two daughters.
What was your motivation behind this project? When our first daughter was born, it was difficult to find good children's Bible books. With some books, the rhyme did not seem too good; with others, they seemed more like cartoons and entertainment rather than God's truth. Other books seemed to add to the Biblical story or change it to fit a rhyme or try to make the story seem more exciting. I wanted my children to see that God's word was already exciting, relevant, and always true. I asked other parents about books for their children, and they felt the same way--that there are far too many books trying to entertain our children at the expense of teaching them the truths of God's word. Therefore, I began to take the Bible and put it into rhyming stories. My wife would read them and let me know if what I wrote was not clear or needed improved, and the result was Biblically faithful and yet easy to read true stories that our children love and from which they learn.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope that parents, children, Sunday school teachers, and others learn to love God's word more and see how relevant it is and how loving and true God is--that they would love and trust and follow Jesus always.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I learned the Bible stories better myself, and saw how great even many of the lesser-known stories are for children. I also learned to be more patient and to listen to the wisdom of my wife more--to trust her when she told me that a poem that I thought was finished needed to be improved.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? My father was my greatest example of how to live for God. I often saw him early in the morning on his knees praying for us, and saw how much of the Bible he read every day. I love to read and learn much from biographies and autobiographies of men and women whom God greatly used. I also love to hear and read sermons by men like Vance Havner and Peter Marshall. Christians today need to read much more about the men and women whom God used in the past.
