n Harm's Way provides a spectacular suspense thriller wrapped in the psychological phenomenon of twin sibling mental telepathy! When Rachel Sutton begins having visions after finding a tattered doll in a parking lot, she seeks the help of the FBI in solving the mystery of what's going on. Special Agent Nick Bradley is assigned to the case and finds Rachel's story strange but intriguing. When evidence surfaces that the doll is linked to a missing child miles away, Nick uncovers a lost family secret- Rachel has a twin sister she was separated from after a tragic car accident when they were infants. The doll belonged to the kidnapped child who astonishingly is the daughter of Rachel's twin sister. After an emotional reunion, Nick and the two sisters work together to track down the kidnapper desperately hoping to find the little girl before more harm can be done.
I have to admit, when I first read the description of this book I was a bit skeptical. Hannon, however, has managed to create an intense, action-packed crime drama driven by the long lost sisters' twin telepathy abilities! Very unique story that will keep you wondering!
This review contains my own thoughts and opinions. I have not been compensated for this review in any way.
I enjoyed all three books in this series. I also learned more about the incredible commitment these men on the force must make to protect and keep us safe. Their families also make huge sacrifices so their husbands/fathers/sons can do this job for us!
When the story delved into the "doll vibes" I almost dropped it. I stopped reading Christian fiction a few years ago because far too many authors and publishers were incorporating secular plots and dialogue (profanity, paranormal, sexuality) that the genre became passe to me, nothing more than an offshoot of secular fiction. I was immensely relieved when this author offered a psychological and empirical explanation for the "vibes." I was able to sit back in my airplane seat and enjoy the rest of the book on my way back home from Christmas holidays. My kind of suspense, action, a touch of sweet romance that I like. I can now buy the other 2 in the series. This reader has found a new favourite author!
