Publisher's Description

"Turano continues to be one of the funniest voices in the inspirational genre, and her spunky heroines will appeal to readers across the romance spectrum."--Booklist

After growing up as an orphan, Millie Longfellow is determined to become the best nanny the East Coast has ever seen. Unfortunately, her playfulness and enthusiasm aren't always well-received and she finds herself dismissed from yet another position.

Everett Mulberry has quite unexpectedly become guardian to three children that scare off every nanny he hires. About to depart for Newport, Rhode Island, for the summer, he's desperate for competent childcare.

At wit's end with both Millie and Everett, the employment agency gives them one last chance--with each other. As Millie falls in love with her mischievous charges, Everett focuses on achieving the coveted societal status of the upper echelons. But as he investigates the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the children's parents, will it take the loss of those he loves to learn whose company he truly wants for the rest of his life?

Another successful story! I love the humor that this author weaves into such wonderful romances. It had me laughing out loud. Plus there were peacocks. You have to read the story to see what kind of havoc they wreak upon the poor characters. Full review is at my website.

Another fun book by Jen Turano, I found this story of an out of work Nanny, a bachelor appointed the guardianship of three orphaned children and how they are all thrown together a story that just kept a smile on my face. A little adventure, some romance and the ending.. made it another for my favorite list.. I was gifted a copy from bookfun.org for my honest opinion..

"In Good Company" is a romantic comedy set in 1882 and takes place mainly in Newport. It's the second in a series, but this book can be read as a stand alone since each book has different main characters.

The characters were nice people with interesting personalities. Millie has a unique way of nannying children which doesn't match what their rich parents expect from her. The hero, heroine, and children end up in a series of silly situations during which they get to know and care about each other. There's also a mystery involving the children's parents, which the main characters look into near the end.

Several of the characters were Christians, and this was shown in how they treated people. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this humorous novel.

Another perfectly delightful story from Jen Turano! I just couldn't seem to put it down! Which is a pretty common problem with her books. In Good Company is probably one of my favorites so far, I just love Millie's quirky personality and crazy-but-effective ways of dealing with the three rather naughty angels under her care. Not only do the children learn that they can't best their lovable nanny but so do Millie and Edward have a few things to learn.

Having done some babysitting in my past I'm pretty partial to nanny stories and In Good Company is most definitely one of the best that I've read. Can you tell I'm totally into this author's books?

As usual, the author treats us to her trademark romantic comedy punctuated with poignant moments and a dash of danger and villainy. There is just something satisfying about reading a Jen Turano book. You come away laughing and yet pondering what you've learned about life, faith, and love.

If you've loved any of Jen Turano's previous books you won't want to miss In Good Company, it's a rollicking good story! Will we really have to wait until next year for the next book in the series?

(I received a copy of this book from Bethany House in exchange for my review. All opinions are entirely my own.)
