Publisher's Description

IMAGINE...
The ocean swirled around the boy and pulled him down with unrelenting power. Heavy water churned and tugged at his flailing body like unseen hands yanking him into the watery depths. The fight was finally over. Even though he’d tried to stand up to the enemy, the waves were about to swallow him whole.

The last thing ten-year-old Corey remembers (before the world as he knew it disappeared) was the searing pain in his head after falling while chasing his dog Molly into the woods. What happens next can't be explained as Corey wakes up and finds himself face-to-face with not one but two lions!

Join Corey and experience the excitement. . .the wonder. . . the adventure. . .as the epic story of Noah’s ark comes to life.

Imagine. . .The Great Flood is the first release in an exciting, brand-new epic adventure series for kids ages 8 to 12 written by schoolteacher and missionary, Matt Koceich. The Imagine series brings the Bible to life for today's kids as they ponder what it would be like to live through a monumental biblical event.

Watch for Imagine...The Ten Plagues in March 2018!

Editorial Reviews

"I couldn’t be more proud of Guild alum, Matt Koceich! He had a dream, persevered, and would not be denied. Enjoy this result, and may it be only the first of many."
—Jerry Jenkins, Novelist & Biographer, Owner, The Jerry Jenkins Writers Guild

"Matt Koceich's Imagine. . .The Great Flood is some of the best biblical historical fiction I've read. The story takes us from modern-day America to Ancient Mesopotamia. . .and ties together neatly the link between faith in God and trust in people we love, regardless of apparent circumstance. I look forward to the next installment."
—Kaci Hill, screenplay writer and Ted Dekker’s coauthor of Lunatic and Elyon

"Matt Koceich does a masterful job of lifting readers out of the boredom of everyday life, dropping them head-first into a fast-paced, action-packed world of Bible adventure."
—Phil A. Smouse, author and illustrator of over fifty books for kids including Jesus Wants All of Me, the children’s adaptation of Oswald Chambers’
classic devotional, My Utmost for His Highest

"Imagine. . .The Great Flood is nonstop action in an epic Bible adventure! A well-known story like Noah’s Ark comes to life through the eyes of 10-year-old Corey Max with all the wonder of God’s creation and the evil forces that want to stop God’s plans. (Spoiler alert: God wins!) Boys and girls who like the I Survived books will love this action-packed tale."
—Annie Tipton, author of the Diary of a Real Payne series, including the award-winning title True Story

"The distinct Christian worldview is refreshing in a genre that, at times, can be diluted in an attempt to draw a larger audience. Young readers who want a fun, clean read will be curious to see what comes next in the "Imagine" series."

Imagine the great flood author has done one magnificent job on retelling the story of Noah and the way that Inbetweeners and could fall in love with it and so could fall in love with it and also learn a lesson on other subjects too. I loved it when he arrived in the was time and there he was standing face-to-face with the lion and Lioness man was he scared and I would have been praying so hard just like he was and guess what happened well I'm not going to tell you you have to read it for yourself. It is so worth it believe me . I received a copy of this book from the Publisher and Netgalley; all the opinions expressed in this review are all my own .

A very readable and engaging book. The targeted audience is 8-12 year olds, but I am an adult woman and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ten year old Corey is struggling with the fact that he and his family are about to move from Galveston, Texas to Clearwater, Florida. He is worried and anxious about many things, including starting in a new school and making new friends. Corey has no idea how amazingly God is going to teach him to trust and obey.

While still in Galveston, Corey falls and hits his head while chasing after his dog. Everything goes dark and Corey awakens right in the middle of an epic Old Testament adventure...the great flood.

Corey met and interacted with Noah and his sons. He also enjoyed close encounters with many of the wild animals.

Along with Noah's family, he was caught up in the struggles between good and evil forces. Corey was able to learn many lessons from the time he spent in Noah's world. He was able to carry these lessons back to Galveston and then on to Clearwater. Corey learned that God can do anything.

My 11 year son read this book. He really enjoyed it. We took turns reading the book together. It was a great book to read together as family time. You could also read it together then talk about the story of the flood in the Bible.

This book really held my son's attention. He read it in just a few days.

I highly recommend this book to kids!

*I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. No positive review was required. My opinion is honest and is my own.

Written for young readers, this is an imaginative look at Noah's Flood and what it could have been like through the eyes of a modern-day boy. The themes of TRUST and GOD KNOWS BEST are clearly seen, and are presented in a way young readers can appreciate. Great book to encourage young people in their faith!
