Author/Artist Review

Author: Nathan Chikoya
Located in: Choma, Zambia.
Submitted: April 15, 2016

Tell us a little about yourself.  Nathan Chikoya is a serving deacon in the Bread of Life Church International, Choma district branch. He is a possibility thinker, with an inclination towards Christian writing and music composition. Some of his works include music albums Limbikira in 2011 and Sisabelo in 2013. He fondly loves to describe himself as a work in progress. Nathan and his family are based in Choma, Southern Province, Zambia.

What was your motivation behind this project?  An epiphany of the nature of the God I serve brought me to realize that I am a body of limitless possibility and 'the truth that there is nothing too hard for Him, as matter of fact all things are possible with Yahweh’, hit me with a fresh wave of understanding. The realization that we are blessed with gifts, abilities beyond measure means that there is massive possibility in each one of us. I felt led to encourage myself and anyone who might want to become possible. I thought my life lesson could be needed by someone else as a sign post pointing to the way, Jesus Christ in whom when you believe it is possible to be all that God has ever created you to be.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  In I’m Possible, author Nathan Chikoya points out that we all have hopes and dreams that we want and need to become a reality someday. But between now and that time, there are situations we will encounter that may seem to make achieving these dreams impossible. Our response to these challenges will determine whether our dreams will become a reality or they will just stay as dreams. Using the Word of God as a standard, he Chikoya has put together 12 chapters to help steer readers into achieving the impossible. “I’m Possible” is not the way, but a signpost pointing to Jesus Christ who is the only way to the source, God the Father.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  This is a personal journey, discovery and rediscovery of what possibilities lie within of truths that I had for a long time taken on a lip service basis but have now become practical in my life. I have seen the fact that there are things that seemed impossible until, my belief system is now in tune with my creator Yahweh, I am activated to do achieve the impossible. An example would have been seating and shelving the idea of writing this book, but now it's out expressed for all to see the marvelous possibilities that we each hold within which could become a reality.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My parents, my siblings, musicians such as Nathan Nyirenda, Ephraim Mutalange, William McDowell, Matt Redman and Chris Tomlin, Servants of God namely Bishop J. Imakando, Pastors Tanny Hambalo, Edson Katete, Authors Pastor George Mwansa, Pastor Choolwe, Joel Osteen.
