Bible Believing ChristianYouTube ChannelAge: 45-54Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5Great quality but some of the artwork could be betterJuly 30, 2018Bible Believing ChristianYouTube ChannelAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 3The quality of this Illustrated Bible is very good, it has a sewn binding and lays flat no matter where you're at in the book. The paper is also nicely done.
The artwork when you first open the book is amazing when it starts out the creation story but then when you get a few pages in the artwork of the people is sometimes not the greatest, I think they could have made the people look better, as another reviewer stated some of the images of the people do look just a little bit on the creepy side and may not be suitable for younger children because the images may appear scary to them. Some of the images could stand to be changed but again that it just my personal opinion and I am not used to comic books so I have nothing to compare this to.
Aside from a handful of the images of people not looking that great the rest of the book is very well done and I think it really brings the Bible stories to life. I don't think I would buy this for kids under the age of about 8 years old but for kids 8-12 or even older kids that are into graphic novels or comics this would be a good choice for them and would help them to get interested in the Bible.
If you would like to see the inside of this Bible you can see my review of it on you tube under the channel name of Bible Believing Christian.
I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review, all opinions are my own. Quality of this book I would give it 5 stars, artwork would be harder to rate cause some areas it is a 5 and on some images of people it would be 2 or 3. Overall I do like this book.
Rene5 Stars Out Of 5Love This Bible!March 27, 2018ReneQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am not a huge comic book fan. I have never been one to be interested in comics. This book is different. It is 31 stories from both the Old Testament, and the New Testament, in graphic, comic book style. Stories that I have heard all my life, to those I may not understand so well are illustrated in such a way, that I can finally put an image with words! This is so exciting to me! I am so thankful someone was inspired and responded to the call of God to create this wonderful book! This is a great way to spread the word of God to those who may never have picked up a bible otherwise! The illustrations are phenomenal. They correspond perfectly with the stories, and are bright and attention-catching. The wording is simple, and easy to understand.
I highly recommend this this book to all. Comic book fans, and those who want to put a picture with a story! I was highly impressed with what I saw!
1gracedmom1 Stars Out Of 5Thumbs Down!June 27, 20171gracedmomQuality: 1Value: 5Meets Expectations: 1Hi. I read one review from a grandmother who said that her 11 year old granddaughter liked this Bible and that it is well written. My daughter just finished a graffix novel series and liked the flow of the bubble text. So I thought this would be a match for her to go through the Bible this summer. Well, we were reading through Genesis when she was covering pictures and said they were too scary. And I agree. Some people looked very creepy, even Sarah who was supposed to be beautiful. I will be sending this back if it does not cost too much to do so. Also, if I could attach photos I would, but there is no upload option.
