We give this book to the parents of children that are in heaven. Pastor Jack Hayford helps grieving parents understand that their children are not lost or missing. The children that we do not hold on this earth will be held by us in heaven. We have a daughter in heaven that we long to see. What a day that will be!

Twenty years ago, my own unsaved sister had three miscarriages in one year, and as you can imagine, she and her husband were quite devastated about it. They were the first persons I gave this book to. Not only did this book help them to get through an extremely difficult season of their lives, but I am totally convinced that it was the primary instrument God used to bring them both to salvation within the year after reading it.

Without exaggeration, I have given this book to dozens of couples--saved and unsaved-- who have lost their babies through miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion and early death. (I usually buy a half a dozen at a time). Without exception, they have all come back to me with gratefulness saying that it brought great comfort to them in the midst of their grieving process. Jack Hayford does an amazing job of using scripture to bring comfort and compassion toward those who are hurting from such a loss. Yet, it is not a 'preachy' book, and it is neither offensive nor intimidating in its presentation. Again, I have given it to many people who are unsaved, and they have all come back to me saying that it brought great comfort to them.

Another nice thing about this book is that it is small and an easy read--a big plus for those who are already having trouble paying attention and keeping control of their thoughts due to their grief. I wish I could find a similar book on the general topic of grief to hand out to people (saved and unsaved) who have lost loved ones (suggestions are welcome). In the meantime, if you are a person who has suffered the loss of a baby, or if you know a family who is going through this kind of grief, I highly recommend I'll Hold You In Heaven. It will be a tremendous blessing of comfort to them.
