Product Description

In this small but powerful book on prayer, Chambers reveals the key problem with the way many of us pray today. That is, we focus our prayers on ourselves instead of on God. The purpose of prayer is not to get healed, get a job, get our house sold, or whatever else we want. It is to get "the life of God in us."

Publisher's Description

Sometimes we're blind in our prayers. Mary Magdalene was weeping at the tomb, asking for the dead body of Jesus. Whom was she asking? Jesus Himself, yet she did not know it. In his matchless way, Oswald Chambers reflects on the truth and the enormous power of prayer.

Oswald Chambers' works are so in tune to the Holy Spirit. I have gained many insights into the fruits of the Spirit from his works. I bought extra copies to send to others. That is my mission.

I especially take notes on chapter 3, " The Struggle For Prayer" how Osward Chambers display the picture of the realm of prayer in the Holy Spirit, and only in that realm, there is no snares, he explains that because it is base on the redemption of the Lord Jesus Christ made efficacious all the time by the Holy Spirit.

Possibly the best book I have ever read on the subject of prayer. I learned of it when I found it on the "recommended reading" list published by Dr. Henry Blackaby, author of "Experiencing God," on the Blackaby Ministries International website. My recommendation: Read it. You'll be glad you did!

I especially like chapter 12 which discusses the passage in Romans 8 of how the Holy Spirit prays in us when we don't know how to pray.
