Karen RWAGender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Thoroughly enjoyable set of Christian historical fiction stories!March 31, 2016Karen RWAGender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5A very enjoyable read, with believable characters, interesting historical settings, and plenty of drama. The descriptions of the places and lifestyles were easy to visualize, making the characters and their dilemmas seem to have a lot of depth. The two stories are only connected by the time period and both being in Wyoming territory, but they each one had a character who was disconnected from God because of past experiences, and a genuinely difficult dilemma. Loved sweet, hardworking Annora and the two little girls in the first one. Had to admit that Caleb Jonas in the second story would have left me tongue-tied too, along with poor Lydia. What a guy! The stories got better and better as they went. Honestly did not feel like a set of novellas. The ending to the Mountain's Son was the best!
A thoroughly enjoyable set of Christian historical fiction stories! 4.5 stars
