Jewelry Diva5 Stars Out Of 5If I Run!October 19, 2016Jewelry DivaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5When a book starts off "There is blood on the bottom of my shoes" you know it's got to be good. I read this book in two days. I could not put it down. Blackstock is a master story teller of suspense and she kept me turning the pages. This book deals with a lot of issues, murder, bad cops, child trafficking, and PTSD. This may be my favorite book by this author thus far. Believe me, I've read most of her books. That is why she is one of my favorite authors of all time. I highly recommend this book. My only complaint is it ended and I have to wait for the next book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
MemawAlabamaGender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5What a rideSeptember 17, 2016MemawAlabamaGender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Guess I did not realize this was the start of a new series. This book centers around 2 characters, Casey Cox is on the run from corrupt police who have killed her best friend and framed Casey for the murder. Dylan Roberts is a war hero running from his own ghosts, who wants justice for the death of his friend and is assigned to find Casey Cox. How the two avoid each other is the crux of this story. Who will learn to trust and who will find a sense of security will be the discovery of this story
gege5 Stars Out Of 5Very good storyJuly 26, 2016gegeQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I was given this book for a review. It took a few chapters to really get into the book but once I got involved in the story I almost couldn't put it down. My sleep and work got in the way of my reading! When I got to the end I am now anxiously waiting for the next book to come out. I highly recommend this to mystery readers. No romance involved, maybe later!

When does this sequel come out? Not til next year?! I don't think I can wait that long, but ... alas, I do not have a choice.
This book was incredible, on-the-edge-of-my-seat, can't-get-anything-else-done type book! Terri had me from the very first chapter eating out of her hand, wondering, trying to read faster, and definitely NOT wanting to put this book down!
Casey's friend Brent has just been murdered and she is suspect number one. But of course, she wouldn't murder her best friend would she? If not, then why is she running?
Dylan, Brent's childhood friend and military partner has been hired as a PI to find her. But the more he learns about Casey, the more he wonders how she could have killed Brent, and yet, if she didn't why would she run. The deeper he digs, the more he uncovers and the story is not pretty.
Casey's past is a bit sketchy, having found her dad dead at age twelve. His death ruled a suicide, but Casey has always suspected otherwise. Dylan, is facing his own inner demons after several military deployments and losing some close colleagues. He suffers from PTSD, and he can understand what Casey must be feeling. He works hard to get in her head and figure out what caused her to snap. His gut feeling though, tells him she didn't do it, yet he knows he has to go with facts not feelings.
This is the first book I have read by Terri, but it left me longing for more. I will definitely be looking up more of her books. The end although giving some resolution also leaves us at a bit of a cliffhanger as the series continues! I am eagerly looking forward to the next one.
I received this book from Fiction Guild in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not required to review this book positively.
Claudia5 Stars Out Of 5Worth the lost sleep because I could not put it down.July 13, 2016ClaudiaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Theres blood on the bottom of my shoes. I rinse the soles, knowing the police will trace the impression of the rubber pattern and determine that theyre Skechers. They will find the charge for the shoe store on my credit card, proving they're mine.
Thus begins, If I Run by Terri Blackstock. Casey Cox was talking to me from the very first line of the book. She was talking to me, one on one. I was the one Casey Cox trusted to tell her story toand believe me! It is quite a story!! I followed Casey as she hastily packed a few things and left home. I followed her on the bus. I followed her to the seedy side of a strange town where she got a new name. I was there when she made a friend in Miss Lucy. I followed her to the other side of the country in her attempt to escape the justice she knew was seeking to destroy her. I was there when she faced evil.
If I Run is without a doubt, one of the best suspense novels I have read. It kept me reading all through the night, which was both great and awful. Great because the story is so worth losing sleep over, but awful because I had to leave Casey at the end. Next March cannot come soon enough for me to read the sequel!
Blackstocks writing is superb. From the first line, I am drawn into Caseys world. This is one of those books that I read without realizing I was reading. What I mean is that when I opened the book and began reading the first page, I stepped into another world that I stayed in until I read the last page and closed the book.
I heartily recommend If I Run by Terri Blackstock.
