"Appropriation of the victory of Christ demands more than just one act of faith--it requires an attitude of faith. It is a moment-by-moment reckoning, and your reckoning for this moment is never adequate for the next."
W. Ian Thomas' If I Perish, I Perish examines the Christian life through the lens of an allegorical interpretation of the Old Testament book of Esther. The character of Esther, representative of the human spirit, depicts that the call of the Lord Jesus on the Christian is to be crucified with Christ and become alive in the Spirit.

While reading If I Perish I Perish it became evident that this one of my favorite books that speaks soundly on the Christian life and everything that encompasses real struggles of being a true Christian. I love how Thomas portrays our Christian life as, Counting your self dead, having nothing to lose and everything to gain. This essentiality becomes understandable through Thomas words in, If I Perish I Perish. This book is life changing to anyone who reads it, no matter if you are a new Christian or have been a Christian for a while or are even wondering if you yourself are a Christian. I find the clarity provided opened my eyes to things unseen in my own Christian life. This book points you towards Christ and show you that we need dependence upon God by constant faith.
