Casey Cox spends her days changing disguises and on the run for fear law enforcement will capture her for the false murder charges her friend Brent. Dylan Roberts is the investigator in the case, who now believes she is innocent. He must come up with a plan to safely help her connect with the DA as she makes a deal with him to turn over all evidence she has against two corrupt cops, only to find out that the DA is working with them. Without knowing who to trust, they must expose the real killer before they both end up dead.

TJ5 Stars Out Of 5If I LiveApril 10, 2018TJQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I highly recommend this series for fast-paced reading. The plot is strong and the characters are engaging. I would recommend having all three of the books in hand because you are not going to want to wait long between reading the three novels in this set.
As a church librarian, this has become one of our new go-tos for recommended fiction reading.

And her If I Run series is some of her best story-telling yet!
If I Live is the thrilling conclusion to this three-part series. The first pages of the first book started the breath-taking adventure of Casey Cox, who was wrongly accused of murder. From there to the end of the third book, the twists and turns mount exponentially as Casey tries to find a way to prove her innocence and bring the real criminals to justice. Along the way, she risks her own safety out of concern for other people -- some she knows well and some she meets along the way. Her biggest obstacle as she runs is not knowing who she can trust . . . and that is one of the exciting parts for the reader -- never being sure who are the bad guys and what extremes they will go to in their evil schemes.
Casey also finds herself on a quest to find God, although understanding and believing His love and purpose for her is one of her greatest challenges. No spoilers . . . but the outcome of Casey's journey is fantastic. Just don't expect to be able to put the book down easily, if at all!
I highly recommend this entire series. The books definitely need to be read in order, so if you haven't started yet, get your hands on copies of If I Run and If I'm Found and then finish up with If I Live. I'm sure you'll be glad you did!
MillstreetreaderAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Can Casey ever stop running?March 26, 2018MillstreetreaderAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Readers of the IF I RUN series by Terri Blackstock have been waiting patiently for the third and concluding novel IF I LIVE. Both the first novel IF I RUN and the second novel IF I'M FOUND ended on cliffhangers. Imagine reading at a breathtaking pace, tensions mounting with a conclusion in sight, or nearly so, only to have a resolution that is only partial, leaving the reader with both unanswered questions and genuine angst over Casey Cox's safety. And to top that off, most readers had to wait months and months before the next installment came out. I was among those anxiously waiting for the conclusion. In the first novel, Casey was accused of killing her friend, a reporter. Casey suspects he was killed by a rogue cop who knew the reporter and Casey were poking into possible criminal activities orchestrated by someone within the force. Somewhat like Dr. Richard Kimble in the tv show THE FUGITIVE, Casey keeps taking on new identities as protection from being found, but then her actions of helping others somehow alerts others and she must run again. Dylan Roberts, first hired to find Casey and bring her in, soon figures out the truth of her innocence and through the three novels, he becomes the one person she will trust.
Now that all three books are published, this is a series that I can highly recommend for those who enjoy Christian thrillers. Blackstock's writing has long standing as being entertaining, fast paced drama with a message. I believe this series is her best. As I began this third and final novel, I quickly got caught up in yet another Casey assumed identity and its dangerous story line. But throughout all the twists and turns (and there are many) of this novel, I was able to read with the assurance that this novel would end the fugitive's months long flight. I was provided an e-galley from Netgalley and the publisher. I was not required to write a review and all opinions are mine.
KaraAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5If I LIveMarch 23, 2018KaraAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5If I Live, by Terri Blackstock, is the third book in the If I Run Series. It follows If I Run and If Im Found. It is set in modern day and is filled with suspense.
Casey Cox remains in hiding, running from the law officers trying to locate her and charge her with murder, a murder that she did not commit. But with her face plastered all over the news, it is difficult to disguise herself. Dylan Roberts, a private investigator once hunting Casey, now believes that she is innocent and works hard to expose the real killers. But when Dylans apartment is burned, he knows that his life is now in danger too. Dylan works to capture the real criminals and to keep Casey safe, a task that gets more and more difficult by the day.
I enjoyed this book very much. It was a fitting conclusion to the series. Casey and Dylan captured my heart as they risked everything to expose the truth. I especially liked Dex, a loyal and true friend. I also appreciated the way Dylan and Casey honored God in light of their mutual attraction, even when they had to share a hotel room.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian suspense novels.
I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
MauriKansasAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5If I LiveMarch 21, 2018MauriKansasAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5After finishing book two, If I'm Found, I started immediately on this one and kept reading till I finished it. This is the best suspense series I've read. There are many twists and turns, and even though we've known for awhile who was the real murderer of Brent Pace (the friend Casey Cox is accused of killing, which sent her on the run), there are more involved that I certainly didn't imagine would be. Dylan is still working on the case with Casey, determined to find the truth and reveal it.
Casey is a strong woman, made stronger when she can finally accept God loves her and is looking out for her. Though this is a very suspenseful series and evil is not whitewashed, there is a very strong faith message. I highly recommend all three books of this series
